The Cheshire Cat - her story

We started living aboard the Cheshire Cat in 1997, which was long before we started sending out digital cards. Since only digital cards were our original way of keeping in touch electronically, only the last few years of our live aboard life are in this blog. Yet all our trips were similar to what is shown In this record.  We sailed up and down the Atlantic Coast. And yes, we didn't motor, but sailed the Intracoastal for a good part of the way. Up and down the coast. And up and down again. And again....

According to the Captain's log, we spent about six years of our life aboard the Cat and traveled 25,000 miles, which is equivalent to going around the world.

We sold the Cheshire Cat in July 2010. During March of 2012, the new owners sailed the Cat to the Turks and Caicos where they hit a reef. Brian and Cathy were rescued. But the Cat was lost. ;-(
